Configuring administration settings for the Collector

You use the Administration tab to control access to the Collector Configuration Console. You can perform following tasks:

You can also allow or deny clients access to the Collector Configuration Console, and sort the order of clients in the table.

To change the administration password

  1. Log on to the Collector Configuration Console.
    The AR Settings window appears.
  2. Click the Administration tab.
  3. Click Change Admin Password to display the Change Admin Password window.
  4. Enter the new password.
  5. Confirm the password.
  6. Click Submit.
    The new password is encrypted and saved in the CollectorCfgAuth.xml file.

To add a client to the list

  1. Log on to the Collector Configuration Console.
    The AR Settings window appears.
  2. Click the Administration tab.
  3. Click Addto display the Add New Client window:
    1. Enter the Host Name.
    2. Select Allow or Deny from the Type list.
    3. Select IPv4 (default) or IPv6.
      If you select IPv6, the lower five group of hexadecimal digits appear that support IPv6. The first three groups are the Public Topology and are not displayed.
  4. Click Submit.
    The client is added to the list on the Administration tab.

To remove a client from the list

  1. Log on to the Collector Configuration Console.
  2. Click the Administration tab.
  3. Select the client from the list.
  4. Click Remove.
    The client information is removed from the list.

To modify client information

  1. Log on to the Collector Configuration Console.
  2. Click the Administration tab.
  3. Select a client from the list.
  4. Click Modify to display the Modify Client window.
  5. Make your changes to the client information.
  6. Click Submit.

Use the Move Up and Move Down buttons to organize the table.
