Accessing the interface

The following steps describe how to log on to BMC Service Level Management (BMC SLM):

To log on to BMC SLM

  1. Launch a browser and type the following URL to access the application:
    • midTierServer is the name of the BMC Remedy Mid Tier server, specified in the format
    • port is an optional port number; include this only if the web server is not on the default port of 80.
    • ARServer is the BMC Remedy AR System server on which the BMC SLM application is installed. The BMC Remedy Action Request System log on page appears.
  2. Type your user name and password, and click Log on. (The user name and password are case-sensitive).
    The IT Home Page appears.


    Contact your administrator to set up your user name and password if you do not already have one. Your administrator will tell you if you must enter an Authentication string.
