Uninstalling the Smart Hub and Smart Hub Gateway


You can uninstall the Smart Hub and Smart Hub Gateway using the uninstallation script.

Do the following to uninstall the Smart Hub:

  1. Log in to the system from where you want to uninstall the Smart Hub.
    • (Windows) Log in as an administrator.
    • (Linux) Log in as a root user.
  2. Navigate to the installation directory of the Smart Hub.
    • (Windows) C:\Program files\BMC Software\SmartHub
    • (Linux) /opt/bmc/smarthub
  3. Run the following command:
    • (Windowsuninstall.bat
    • (Linux./uninstall.sh
  4. Enter y to confirm uninstallation.
  5. Verify that the Smart Hub service is removed.
    • (Windows) Run services.msc and verify that the Smart Hub service name is not available.
    • (Linux) Check whether smarthub.service is removed.

NEW IN 20.02.01 Do the following to uninstall the Smart Hub Gateway:

  1. Navigate to the installation directory of Smart Hub Gateway.
    • (WindowsC:\Program files\BMC Software\SmartHub_Gateway
    • (Linux/opt/bmc/smarthub_gateway
  2. Run the following command:
    • (Windowsuninstall.bat
    • (Linux./uninstall.sh
  3. Enter y to confirm uninstallation.
  4. Verify that the Smart Hub Gateway service is removed.
    • (Windows) Run services.msc and verify that the Smart Hub Gateway service name is not available.
    • (Linux) Check whether smarthub.gateway.service is removed.
