Export and import tool usage considerations

Before you perform export and import of your configuration, take into account the following considerations:

  • Use Export and Import options in Remedy SSO Admin Console when you need to export configuration within the same Remedy SSO server, for example, to create a configuration backup before upgrading Remedy SSO server. If you need to export Remedy SSO configuration from one Remedy SSO server (for example, QA server) to another Remedy SSO server (for example, Dev server), use the data transfer tool.
  • The export and import functionality is designed to work across the same versions of Remedy SSO. You must not export and import data between different versions of Remedy SSO server.

  • You can export only the following Remedy SSO configurations:

    • General configurations
    • Realms along with their General settings, Authentication settings, and Branding
    • SAML templates
  • Importing an exported configuration overrides all previous configuration settings.

To create a backup of Remedy SSO server

  1. Log in to Remedy SSO Admin Console.
  2. Select Admin > Export.
  3. Save the exported file.

To restore Remedy SSO configuration from a backup

  1. Log in to Remedy SSO Admin Console.
  2. Select Admin > Import.
  3. Upload the exported file, and click Import.

I am surprised to see that there is no documentation to Export all the users and User Groups from RSSO. Is there any utility or way to get a list of all the users and User Groups? I had used UserMigration utility (exportUserDataFromASSO ) but I think this will not work with RSSO as the name of utility itself contains ASSO.

      Hello, Sagar!

There are no other tools than described in this topic. The tool you have mentioned is not available in RSSO.
