Attribute summary

AttributeData typeDescription

Active Maximum Transmission Unit

Number (15, 2)

The active or negotiated maximum transmission unit that the port can support.

Auto SensePicklist

Specifies whether the port can automatically determine the speed or other communications characteristics of the attached network media.

The following options are provided:

  • None
  • Yes
  • No
Full DuplexPicklist

Specifies whether the port is operating in full duplex mode (carrying signals in both directions).

The following options are provided:

  • None
  • Yes
  • No
Link TechnologyPicklist

The link technology used by the network port. The following options are provided:

  • Ethernet
  • IB
  • FC
  • FDDI
  • ATM
  • Token Ring
  • Frame Relay
  • Infrared
  • BlueTooth
  • Wireless LAN
  • Unknown
  • Other
Maximum SpeedNumber (15, 2)The maximum bandwidth of the port (in bits per second).
Network AddressText (64)The list of strings that specify the network addresses for the port.
Permanent AddressText (64) The network address that is hard-coded into the port. This address can be changed by firmware upgrade or software reconfiguration. For an Ethernet port, the value consists of a MAC address separated by colons; for example, 00:1C:B3:09:85:15.
Physical DescriptionText (255) Physical description of the port.
Port TypePicklist

The type of port, such as Ethernet, FDDI, and so on. The following options are provided:

  • Ethernet
  • FDDI
  • Token Ring
  • WAN
  • Fibre Channel
  • Other
  • Unknown
SpeedNumber (16, 2)The current bandwidth of the port (in bits per second). For ports that vary in bandwidth or for ports whose speed cannot be accurately estimated, this field must contain the nominal bandwidth.
Supported Maximum Transmission UnitNumber (15, 2)The maximum transmission unit that the port can support.
