Verifying scan execution status

Scan execution result of a scanner is shown in the Execution Status column in the Scanner Details list. The status keeps updating periodically and you can click Refresh to know the current status.

The following table lists all the possible execution status values for a scan:

Status	Description
Assigned	This status is assigned to the scanner when the Discovery Server has assigned the scan configuration to the scanner.
Assignment Paused	When you configure a scan and save it for the first time, the initial status is assigned to the scanner is Assignment Paused. This status does not change if you have selected the Do not scan option in the Schedule section.
Assignment Planned	This status is assigned when the scan configurations are waiting to be assigned to the scanner.
Assignment Sent	This status is assigned when the Discovery Server has sent the scan configurations to the scanner, but the scan has not yet started.
Assignment Waiting	This status is assigned when the Discovery Server is waiting to send the scan configurations to scanners.
Configuration Failed	This status is assigned when the first member of the target list is not reachable to the scanner.
Executed	This status is assigned when the scanner has completed executing the scan.
Executing	This status is assigned when the scanner is running the scan.
Execution Failed	This status is assigned when the scan performed by a scanner has failed.
Execution Pending	This status is assigned when running the scan is pending at scanner.
Execution Scheduled	This status is assigned when the scan is scheduled to be run.
Not Configured	This status is assigned when no scan is configured for the scanner.
Reassignment Planned	This status is assigned when the updated assignment is waiting to be assigned to the scanner.
Update Planned	This status is assigned when the updated scan configurations are waiting to be assigned to the scanner.
Reassignment Waiting	This status is assigned when you update the scan configurations and save them.
Updated	This status is assigned when the updated scan configurations have been updated at the scanner.
Update Paused	This status is assigned when you have updated the scan configurations and the updates have not been sent to the scanner.
Update Sent	This status is assigned when you have updated the scan configurations and the the updates have been sent to the scanner.
Update Waiting	This status is assigned when you have updated the scan configurations and the updates are waiting to be sent to the scanner.
