Keyboard shortcuts in Self Service
Some features in BMC Remedyforce Self Service are 508 compliant and support keyboard shortcuts for opening tabs and performing actions in Self Service. You must use the same shortcuts for all languages and browsers that are supported by BMC Remedyforce.

Default keyboard shortcuts
The following table describes the keyboard shortcuts that are supported in Self Service:
Opens the Broadcast widget in the pop-up window.
Opens the My Cart pop-up window
Opens the Quick Links menu.
Opens the menu for Profile Settings and Help. You can use the arrow keys to select an option and press Enter/Spacebar key to open the option.
View Tickets and Requests
Opens the View list in the form. You can use the arrow keys to select an option and press Enter key to open the option.
Note: The View list is displayed only if your system administrator has enabled the setting to view records created by other users.
Opens Status menu in the form. You can use the arrow keys to select an option and press Enter key to open the option.
Opens the State menu in the form. You can use the arrow keys to select an option and press Enter key to open the option.
Allows you to select all the records.
Allows you to approve or reject a record.
Allows you to reassign the selected record.
Reloads the tab.
Allows you to deselect all selected records.
Submit a Ticket
Submits the ticket.
Copies the ticket.
Cancels the ticket.
Close a ticket
Reopens the ticket
Creates the service request
Adds the service request to your cart.
Saves the service request to your cart.
Submits the changes made to your profile.
Changes your password.
Cancels the changes made to your profile.
Submits your message.
Cancels your message.
Note: The shortcuts in this section are applicable across all tabs in Self Service.
Closes the current tab.
Closes any pop-up window.
Ctrl+Alt+1 to Ctrl+Alt+8
Navigate between the open tabs by using the shortcut from Ctrl+Alt+1 to Ctrl+Alt+8.
Note: You can open a maximum of eight tabs in Self Service.
If you enable alternate shortcuts, these shortcuts do not work in Self Service. To enable using the alternate keyboard shortcuts, see Alternate keyboard shortcuts.
Allows you to select or deselect a record.
Press either key to execute the action.
Note: You can open a lookup field only by using the Enter key and not the Spacebar key.
Allows you to open the More Information URL on the Service Request form.
