Supported browsers, mobile devices, and integrations

This section provides information about the browsers, mobile devices, and integrations that BMC Helix Remedyforce supports:

Salesforce platform

BMC Helix Remedyforce is supported on the Enterprise Edition, Unlimited Edition, and Performance Edition versions of the Salesforce platform. For more information about the editions offered by Salesforce, see the Salesforce Help.

Remedyforce will be supported on Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 for Salesforce Classic. However, Remedyforce is not supported on Microsoft Internet Explorer 8, 9, and 10 versions.

Please be aware that, if any browser specific issues are found with regards to Microsoft Internet Explorer 11, we will attempt to fix, however, it is becoming more and more challenging to resolve IE 11 browser specific issues as technology continues to advance and some features may not work as expected due to these reasons. 

In case you have opted for Extended use of Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 with Lightning Experience under Setup > Security > Session Settings, it is still not recommended to run on Explorer 11 because of security compromises and performance issues.

It is recommended to switch to other fully supported browsers listed above.


BMC Helix Remedyforce is not supported on mobile browsers. If you want to use Remedyforce on mobile, BMC recommends that you use Salesforce1 Mobile App.

Best practice

To use the Self Service mobile app or Service Desk mobile app, BMC recommends that you install the latest versions of your mobile operating system and the Salesforce1 Mobile App.

BMC Discovery

(Before version 11.0, BMC Discovery was known as BMC Atrium Discovery and Dependency Mapping.)

Note: BMC Discovery 11.0 works with the existing Pentaho packages that are available on BMC Communities. However, there is a known issue with the Edit Mapping feature. For more information about the issue and the workaround, see issue 79517 in the Known and corrected issues topic.
