Defining organization-wide email address

You can create an email address for a profile. This email address is used by all the users of the profile. For example, you can configure display name as HelpDesk with a valid email address associated with it.

Best practice

While adding an organization-wide email address, BMC recommends that you select the Allow All Profiles to Use This From Address option.

If you select the Allow Only Selected Profiles to Use the From Address option, ensure that you select the same profiles on the Remedyforce Administration > Configure Email Settings > Email Conversation Settings page. 

To define organization-wide email address

  1. Click the Remedyforce Administration tab.
  2. On the Home page, click the Configure Email tile, and select Organization-Wide Addresses.
  3. On the Organization-Wide Email Address page, click Add.
