Customizing My Dashboard in the Remedyforce Console

The My Dashboard tab in the Remedyforce Console displays a set of QuickViews. System administrators can configure a default dashboard for the Remedyforce Console that you can view the first time you access the My Dashboard tab in the Remedyforce Console. However, if the default dashboard is not configured, the top six QuickViews from My Dashboard on the Remedyforce Dashboard tab are displayed. Only QuickViews without a Calendar view are considered in the top six QuickViews. Also, single-module QuickViews are given a higher priority than multi-module QuickViews.

You can customize the My Dashboard tab in the following ways:

  • Configure the QuickViews that are displayed on the dashboard.
You can select a maximum of six QuickViews for the dashboard. The QuickViews you select can be created by you, shared by other users, or provided out of the box.
  • Configure the display order of the QuickViews on the dashboard.
  • Display a QuickView across the entire width of the My Dashboard tab
  • Drag and drop the selected QuickViews on the dashboard to further rearrange the layout.
Your changes to the layout are automatically saved and displayed the next time you access the My Dashboard tab.

To maximize a QuickView so that it occupies the entire space of the My Dashboard tab, you can double-click the QuickView header. In a QuickView window, you can also create or delete a record, view record details, or change the owner of a record. For more information, see Working with QuickViews in the Remedyforce Console.

To customize My Dashboard in the Remedyforce Console

  1. Click the Remedyforce Console tab.
  2. From the View menu, select My Dashboard.
  3. On the My Dashboard tab, click Manage Dashboard to view the options to customize the dashboard.
The QuickViews that are provided out of the box or created and shared by other users are listed alphabetically in the Shared QuickViews section. The QuickViews that you have created are listed alphabetically in the My QuickViews section. Any QuickViews that you create from the Remedyforce Dashboard tab are also displayed in the My QuickViews section.

    Notes

    1. The Select Dashboard list is displayed only for system administrators or staff members with the Remedyforce Administrator permission set. The Select Dashboard list enables system administrators to configure the default dashboard for Remedyforce Console. For more information, see Configuring the default dashboard in the Remedyforce Console.
    2. When there are more than 1000 QuickView records in Manage Dashboard, only 1000 QuickView records will be displayed in the descending order of the last modified date.
  4. Select the check box next to the QuickViews that you want to display on the My Dashboard tab.
The QuickViews you select are moved to the Selected QuickViews section. You can select a maximum of six QuickViews from the My QuickViews and Shared QuickViews sections.

  5. (Optional) To remove a QuickView from the dashboard, clear the check box next to that QuickView in the Shared QuickViews or My QuickViews sections.
  6. (Optional) In the Selected QuickViews section, perform the following actions:
    • To configure the display order for a QuickView, use the appropriate arrow buttons.
By default, the QuickViews are displayed in the order in which you have selected them.

By default, two QuickViews are displayed next to each other.
