Configuring banner settings

On the Banner Configuration page, you can configure settings related to the banner displayed in Self Service. To access the Banner Configuration page, go to Remedyforce Administration > Configure Self Service > Banner.

The following tables describes the settings available on the page:

Settings that are supported in Self Service 2.0 only

SettingDescription
Allow clients to control Broadcast ticker speedSelect the check box to enable Self Service users to control broadcast ticker speed. If you select this check box, the Broadcast Ticker Speed field is displayed on the My Profile page in Self Service.
Show application bannerSelect the check box to display the banner of the BMC Remedyforce application. The application banner in Self Service consists of the banner that you select and My ProfileAbout, and Log Out links.
Default ticker speedSet the speed for scrolling the text.

Setting that is supported in both Self Service 2.0 and 3.0

Show My Profile on application bannerSelect the check box to display the My Profile option in the banner.

Broadcast Settings

Message ScrollSelect this option to enable message scrolling.
Scroll intervalEnter the duration that should be used to scroll the messages.
Text ScrollSelect this option to enable text scrolling in the broadcast banner.
Scroll speedSet the speed for scrolling the text messages.
