Populating the demo data


Before populating data, ensure that the PageReference getContent() and getContentAsPDF() Methods Treated as Callouts critical update is deactivated (Setup > App Setup > Critical Updates). 

You can populate the demo data on the Getting Started tab. To populate the demo data successfully, you must have at least 5 Salesforce Platform licenses available. These licenses are used to create the demo users while populating the demo data. The demo users are assigned the ServiceDesk Staff permission set. After the demo data is populated, you can mark the demo users inactive to free your licenses.


While populating the demo data, if you receive the License Limit Exceeded. At least five Salesforce Platform Licenses are required. message, check the following points:

  • You must have at least 5 Salesforce Platform licenses available.
  • The Autoassign feature licenses to existing and new users check box (Setup > Customize > Salesforce CRM Content > Settings) is not selected.
    • If this check box is selected, clear the check box to populate the demo data.
    • If you want to keep the check box selected, ensure that you have sufficient Salesforce CRM Content User licenses that can be utilized to populate demo data.
