Keyboard shortcuts in the Remedyforce Console

BMC Remedyforce supports keyboard shortcuts for performing a few common actions on the Remedyforce Console tab. You must use the same shortcuts for all languages and browsers that are supported in BMC Remedyforce. You can also use keyboard shortcuts to perform a few actions on the Incident Console and Task Console tabs.

The following table describes the keyboard shortcuts that are supported on the different tabs.

TabShortcutDescription
  • Remedyforce Console
  • Incident Console
  • Task Console

Note: These shortcuts are also supported if you have configured the BMC Remedyforce modules in the Service Cloud console. However, the shortcuts work only if the cursor is in the form details area.

Opens a list view, a QuickView, or the dashboard from the View menu on the Remedyforce Console tab. These shortcuts are dynamic and open the list views, the QuickViews, or the dashboard based on the configurations that your system administrator has made.

Ctrl+Alt+1 opens the list of records for the first module in the View menu; Ctrl+Alt+2 opens the list of records for the second module in the View menu, and so on. After the last module, the subsequent shortcut keys open the My Dashboard tab, My QuickViews submenu, and Shared QuickViews submenu.

Examples:

  • If all modules are configured, Ctrl+Alt+6 displays the list of records for the last module from the View menu; Ctrl+Alt+7 displays the My Dashboard tab; Ctrl+Alt+8 displays the My QuickViews submenu; and Ctrl+Alt+9 displays the Shared QuickViews submenu. If the My QuickViews option is not available in the View menu, Ctrl+Alt+8 opens the Shared QuickViews submenu.
  • If only the Tasks, Problems, and Releases modules are configured, Ctrl+Alt+1 displays the list of records for the Tasks module; Ctrl+Alt+2 displays the list of records for the Problems module; Ctrl+Alt+3 displays the list of records for the Releases module; Ctrl+Alt+4 opens the My Dashboard tab; Ctrl+Alt+5 expands the My QuickViews submenu; and Ctrl+Alt+6 expands the Shared QuickViews submenu.
