Revalidate object sets

You should revalidate your subsystem and application object sets to ensure that all objects within the scope of the object set definition are recoverable and that they are included in the recovery. BMC AMI Recovery Manager working with SUF can also revalidate and report the status of the mirrors in your environment.

Important

With the introduction of a dynamic object set in BMC AMI Recovery Manager version 9.2.00, revalidation no longer refers to the process of running the object set definitions again to populate the object set with an updated list of objects based on the current system. This type of revalidation is no longer needed for dynamic object sets. Revalidation now refers to checking the recoverability of the objects in the object set.

BMC AMI Recovery Manager does not revalidate catalog and directory resources. The recovery of the Db2 catalog and directory is reported by ARMBSRR with the optional ARMVRPT report in BMC AMI Recovery Manager . See the BMC AMI Recovery Manager for Db2 documentation Open link .

Revalidate using the BMC AMI Recovery Manager online interface. You can also revalidate the object sets using the ARMBGPV batch program.

For more information about revalidating object sets, see the  BMC AMI Recovery Manager for Db2 documentation Open link .
