Record Counts report


The Record Counts report (see the following figure) shows various counts for the index and the indexed databases.

NUMBER OF INDEX RECORDS

The actual count of the records in the secondary index.

NUMBER OF SOURCE SEGMENTS

The number of segments in the indexed database that were candidates for a secondary index record.

NUMBER SUPPRESSED BY USER EXIT RTN

The number of segments in the indexed database that were not indexed because a user exit routine bypassed them.

NUMBER SUPPRESSED BY NULLVAL

The number of segments in the indexed database that were not indexed because they contained the NULLVAL value in the source field.

NUMBER SUPPRESSED BY SHORT VL SEG

The number of segments in the indexed database that were not indexed because the search field is beyond the end of the variable-length segment.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
