The Record Counts report (see the following figure) shows various counts for the index and the indexed databases.

NUMBER OF INDEX RECORDS | The actual count of the records in the secondary index. |

NUMBER OF SOURCE SEGMENTS | The number of segments in the indexed database that were candidates for a secondary index record. |
NUMBER SUPPRESSED BY USER EXIT RTN | The number of segments in the indexed database that were not indexed because a user exit routine bypassed them. |
NUMBER SUPPRESSED BY NULLVAL | The number of segments in the indexed database that were not indexed because they contained the NULLVAL value in the source field. |
NUMBER SUPPRESSED BY SHORT VL SEG | The number of segments in the indexed database that were not indexed because the search field is beyond the end of the variable-length segment. |
