System requirements
This topic describes the system requirements that must be met to install TrueSight Network Automation - Data Warehouse.
Confirm that the computer where you plan to install TrueSight Network Automation - Data Warehouse meets these requirements.

Operating system requirements
The application server is compatible with the following operating systems.

Database requirements
The database type and version used by Network Automation - Data Warehouse must be same as used by TrueSight Network Automation.

1. The supported version of 12c is 12.1.0.2 with pluggable database (PDB).
Database sizing requirements
You can calculate the database sizing requirements using the sizing guide.
Based on number of extract, transform, and load (ETL) runs scheduled per day and the number of devices being managed by Network Automation, warehouse database size might vary.
Hardware requirements
The following table lists the processor requirements for the application server and database server.

Java Virtual Memory (JVM) requirements
The following table lists the Java Virtual Memory (JVM) requirements to run ETL according to the number of devices in the Network Automation environment.

To set JVM, do the following on the application server:
- Navigate to the <TSNADW_INSTALL_DIR>\bin\bna\bds-di\scripts directory.
- Open the run_etl.bat file with a text editor.
- Locate the following:
set JAVA_OPTS=
- Update the value of
Xmx
parameter in MB, as required:set JAVA_OPTS=-Xmx<size>m
Third-party software requirements
Network Automation - Data Warehouse uses the following third-party software for its various components. These software are included in the product installer:

Can you confirm that this product uses AdoptOpenJDK whilst the other BMC TrueSight products use Azul Java? If so, why?

John Conroy, sorry for the delay in response. Yes, this product uses AdoptOpenJDK, Most of the products have now moved to AdoptOpenJDK. They were using Azul Java in the past for technical reasons. Please let us know if you have query about any specific product in BMC.
