Monitor plots

When you select a monitor from the AT, MONACTV, CSERV, MONSUMM, or MONWARN view, a plot of the data collected by the selected monitor is displayed (see the following figure).

A monitor plot view is a 10-line graph showing performance that was monitored over the previous 10 data-collection periods. Every MainView for CICS monitor has a corresponding plot view.

Each plot has a hyperlink to a corresponding MainView for CICS view or service that you can use for detailed analysis of your target’s performance. The hyperlink field is directly below the monitor name in the upper left corner of the view. The hyperlink in the following figure displays the CWOVERD view; this view shows details about the percentage contribution of various forms of delay to a transaction's response time.

Note

The @RSTM, @CPTM, and @ELTM workload monitors start automatically whenever a workload for them is defined with the CWKLDDEF view. Although they appear among the monitors listed on the AT or MONACTV view, they cannot and should not be started manually. These monitors do not write any messages to the journal. For more information about the CWKLDDEF view, see CWKLDDEF.

The following table lists the views for the resource monitors. Each table includes a brief description of the type of data that is shown in the views.
