Configuring the Progressive Web Apps screens

Smart IT uses the Progressive Web App technology for incidents and work orders. Service desk agents can open these tickets in the progressive view from the Smart IT console. 

If your organization has opted for this feature, as an administrator, you can enable the Progressive Web Apps screens for work orders and incidents. After you enable the Progressive Web Apps, you must configure it for BMC Helix Multi-Cloud Broker. Before you begin

Make sure that you have enabled the  Progressive Web Apps screens. 

To configure the progressive views for BMC Helix Multi-Cloud Broker

  1. Log in to ITSM.
  2. Select Administrator Console > Application Administration Console.
  3. Click the Custom Configuration tab. 
  4. In Application Settings, select Helix Multi Cloud Service Management > Integration > Application Configuration.
  5. Click Open and complete the following fields:

    Field

    Description

    mcsm.host

    Enter the BMC Helix Platform server host name provided to you by BMC.

    mcsm.port

    Enter the port that BMC Helix Innovation Studio uses.

    Important: For the https protocol, if 443 does not work, enter -1.

    mcsm.protocolEnter http or https.
    mcsm.username

    Enter the BMC Helix Platform tenant administrator user name.

    mcsm:password

    Enter the BMC Helix Platform tenant administrator password.

  6. Click Update Settings.
