Overview of messages

Depending on where the error occurs and which functions are accessible, the messages can be written to one or more of these destinations:

• SYSLOG (WTO) (has the BBI-SS PAS subsystem ID appended)

• BBI-SS PAS journal log

• Terminal session journal log

• Short message in the upper right corner of the screen

Typical messages for an abend condition are:

xxnnnnc  BBI/xx  STAE EXIT ENTERED
xxnnnnc  BBI SOFTWARE RECORD LOGGED TO LOGREC
xxnnnnc  DUMP IS NOW BEING TAKEN
xxnnnnc  RETRY WILL BE ATTEMPTED
