Views for administering windows-mode security

Windows-mode security can be administered online by using MainView security views and dialogs.

The general views for windows-mode security are as follows:

EZSEC

Is an easy menu designed to help you manage your security class, parameter, and resource definitions

EZSEC is a good starting point for administering MainView windows-mode security. It provides hyperlinks to the other security views.

SECURITY

Lists all the security views in alphabetical order

You can select a view from the list or place your cursor on the view and press Enter to hyperlink to the view.

SEPDEFL

Lists all the parameter definition members

Use this view to display or delete a member.

SEPDEF

Displays the contents of a parameter definition member

Use this view to change the security parameters or to create a new parameter definition member.

Lists all the class definition members

Use this view to display, create, or delete a member.

SECDEF

Displays a single class definition

Use this view to create, update, or delete a class definition.

EZSECRES

Is an extension of the EZSEC easy menu that allows you to change the context or product before displaying resource definitions

SERDEFP

Lists the active products for the current context when hyperlinking from EZSECRES

SERDEFC

Lists the active targets for the product that was selected by hyperlinking from SERDEFP

SERDEFOV

Lists the default resource definitions for the current product and context

SERDEFEX

Lists the individual resource definitions that are referenced by a default resource definition

A default resource definition can be expanded by hyperlinking from the +++ value in the Exp field of the SERDEFOV view.

Lists all the resource definition members

Use this view to display or delete a member.

Displays a single resource definition
