TAPE STATUS Control panels

The data display area shows tape drives and their status.

The information is similar to the output of the MVS Display Unit command. Here, the information is in a scrollable list from which you can select devices with the desired characteristics, using simple commands. Device status is shown in three columns.

You can use line commands to alter device status just as if they had been issued at the operator's main console. There are two types of line commands: MainView AutoOPERATOR and SYSPROG line commands.
