Pre-start commands

Pre-start commands are EXECs or USS commands that are scheduled before the object starts.

Follow these guidelines when you define pre-start commands:

  • Do not start an object that TOM manages.
  • Each pre-start command can be scheduled only once.
  • TOM waits for each command to complete and checks for a return code of 0 before scheduling the next command.
  • You can use variables.
  • You can specify schedule dependencies to control when TOM issues the command.

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
