Additional migration considerations for version 2.3

You can perform a registry export of a version 2.2 TOM registry and run the resulting import EXEC on a version 2.3 TOM PAS.

Other changes from earlier release include the following:

• The user interface (UI) in TOM version 2.3 TOM is updated. The windows mode dialogs in version 2.3 uses check boxes. The MainView Explorer interface implements the use of radio buttons.

• You can more easily select a new value to override a default value. For example, if a default for an object attribute is Yes, No appears in the dialog and by selecting it, No overrides the default value of Yes.

• To limit the number of confirmation panels, version 2.3 includes a new view (TUPREF) that allows you to customize every confirmation panel and all command dialogs with default values. With TUPREF, you can specify whether you want to see confirmation panels and for which confirmation panels.

• The object add/edit dialog is enhanced and denotes with an asterisk all of the fields where the value is inherited from a model. You can override any inherited value by typing in a new value.

• The TDEPCH and TDEPCHR views are improved to show sets in the relationship chart.
