Installing
This section provides information about installing the BMC License Usage Collection Utility.
You can install the BMC License Usage Collection Utility on Windows systems. For more information, see the System requirements and Prerequisites for installation.
Important
- After installing the license utility, we recommend that you maintain the User folder securely in its installed path, as it contains your server deployment information, for example: C:\Program Files (x86)\BMC Software\LicenseUsageCollector\licenseusagecollector\user.
Installing on Windows 10
To install the BMC License Usage Collection Utility in the default path (C:\Program Files\BMC Software\LicenseUsageCollector), you should launch the installation setup.exe of the utility using the “Run as Administrator” option.
