Deleting or canceling a job

Use the information in this section to cancel or delete individual or multiple dataload jobs.

In BMC Remedy ITSM 9.1.02 and earlier, you cannot select multiple jobs in the Job Console. Starting from version 9.1.03, the option to select multiple jobs is available and allows you to either cancel or delete more than one job at a time from the Job Console.

Before you begin

Read through the following guidelines before you to delete or cancel job.

  • If you have logged in as a DMT User, you can cancel or delete only those jobs that you have created. If you have logged in as a DMT Admin, you can cancel or delete any job for the companies that you can access.
  • If you want to cancel multiple jobs at one time, you can select any job irrespective of it’s status. However, only the jobs with status other than Canceled or Completed are canceled.
  • When you select multiple jobs at a time for deletion, only the jobs that are in Completed or Canceled status are deleted. 

To cancel or delete a job

  1. From the Applications list on the IT Home page, navigate to Data Management > Job Console.
  2. On the Job Console, perform one of the following actions:
    • To cancel multiple jobs from the Jobs table, select the required jobs and click Cancel. You can also cancel a job from an open job record by clicking Cancel Job.

       
    • To delete, select the required job(s) from the Jobs table and click Delete. You cannot delete a job from within the job record.
