    have you tried this in different locales? I'm unable to use it with spanish locale. No matter what format I set to the date field, no records are recovered and no "format error" message appears.

        I checked with the QA team here and the date filters are working for Spanish locale as well. Can you please let us know which version you are on so that we can troubleshoot the problem further.
