Configuring custom views

Views provide different ways of looking at a form. You can change the default view either to one of the views that are provided out-of-the-box or to deploy a custom view. Your organization can create custom views for any of the forms accessed by your BMC Remedy Action Request System applications.

Note

To ensure that the correct view is displayed to the user, the user's company must be mapped to the required view and their company must be explicitly listed in the Access Control pane of their people record.

The following table contains a high-level outline of the procedures to perform when you are configuring views. To configure the application for custom views, perform all of the following procedures:
