Configuring change templates

You can simplify the process of creating change requests by configuring change templates for change managers and change coordinators.

Note

If you use BMC Service Request Management, you can create change templates to use with your application object templates. For more information, see Creating application templates and application object templates.

    There exists a Process Flow Tab within the Change Template Configuration Form.

    However, I cannot find any Information fro this fields.

    What happens if no process flow is selected? 
    Will the application use a default value?

    This section is missing the change template "Process Flow" configuration entirely. Please add this! Or at least link the Change Management using section about process flows.

     

    Peter Guggenbuhl: If no flow is selected the system uses the standard process flow that is configured oob.

    You can configure templates using custom process flows (Application Administration Console > Custom Config > Change Management > Advanced Options > Process Flow Configuration). This is handy to use shorter status transitions, e.g. if you don't need approvals in pre approved standard changes the flow can directly go from "Draft" to "Implementation in progress".
