The version 8.1.00 Patch 1 release resolves issues in the following products:

    In step 2 of the "Installing the patch on a server group" section, the second sentence reads:  "Remove the administrative server from the server group."  What specifically does that mean (is there a link to the required steps similar to the link in step 3)?

    Also, in the "Reconciling your customizations" section, it reads:

    "Alternatively, if objects are modified by the patch, a Bill of Materials file (BillofMaterials.txt) is available to identify the affected objects."

    Where is this file located?  I don't see it anywhere in the file from the EPD.

    I would also like to know the answer to Thad's question above.

    In addition, it reads:

    "To obtain a list of all of the overlay objects that were modified in the latest release, obtain the Snapshot utility (a Developer Studio plug-in). This unsupported utility is available on the BMC Developer Network"

    I am only able to find a 7.6.04 version of this utility on the Developer Network. Can you advise whether this also works on 8.1, or whether there is a newer version?

    I found the bill of materials file, thank you.  Also, the instructions about removing the server from the server group are good.  Being relatively new to server groups, I'm curious why that step is necessary if all the other servers in the group have been shut down, but I imagine that is outside the scope of this page.

      Hi Thad,

      Disabling escalations is a pre-requisite for installation, however, you cannot disable escalations on a server that is a part of a group.
