Create User Account

The IT content pack provides a service for a service desk agent to create a user account, such as for a new employee. The account is created automatically in the CTM:People form. Furthermore, a work order is generated for the Access Management and Information Security support groups to provide permissions in the user profile and set the user name and password.

The Create User Account service uses the virtual marketplace capability to restrict this service to the Service Desk support group only.

Virtual marketplace

Create User Account is a service restricted only to an authorized group of people in an organization and end users cannot request this service. This restriction means:

  • Javier, who is the IT support staff belonging to the Service Desk and Information Security support organizations can see and request this service.
  • Isabella, who is the end user cannot see this service.
