Adding a new BMC Remedy Smart Reporting administrator

After onboarding, you can add users to Remedy Smart Reporting by using the user sync utility. For more information, see Synchronizing Remedy AR System users to Remedy Smart Reporting. However, to enable the Add button for adding users manually, see How to enable the add user button.

Note

If a user is present in BMC Remedy Smart Reporting but not in BMC Remedy AR System, then it may cause certain discrepancies. We recommend adding users in BMC Remedy Smart Reporting by using the user sync utility.

    It was decided to hide the "Add" button for Users because having a user in the Smart Reporting DB and not in ITSM can cause issues. However, if you are really in need of the button you can add it back by following this BMC article: https://communities.bmc.com/docs/DOC-100770 But BE AWARE, used incorrectly this can break the user sync.
