Out-of-the-box reports

After installing Remedy Smart Reporting, all onboarded users can access and run the out-of-the-box reports. By default, all out-of-the-box content is public, and users can make them private as required. 
You can view the out-of-the-box reports by going to the Browse > Reports option from the navigation pane of the Remedy Smart Reporting Admin Console.

The following types of out-of-the-box reports are available in BMC Remedy Smart Reporting:

The out-of-the-box drill down reports are designed to be used with the parent from which you drill down. If you refresh a drilled down report independently the results may be incorrect due to the used filter values. Before running a child drill down report independently, make sure you use the correct prompt or filter values.

Report filters

You can apply filters to all the out-of-the-box reports.  These filters help in optimizing the report results. For example, Open Releases by Business Service report contains the following filters:

  • Submit Date
  • Company
  • Business Service

To generate the Open Releases by Business Service report for a specific business service, enter the name of a business service, in the Business Service filter, enter the name of the business service and click Go. Click Reset to cancel the filters.
