Creating default application preference records

You can create default application user preferences that the system references until the user creates their own preference record.

When using Modify All statements to update Application Preference records, make sure that the qualification in your statement does not include the System Default record. Using Modifying All to update the System Default record can have unexpected results. For example, if you change the Broadcast Auto Popup to Never, you might miss any important broadcast message. We recommend that you make a backup copy of the System Default Preference records before making changes to them.

To create default application user preferences

  1. On the <application>Console > Functions, click Application Preferences.

  2. Modify the System Default record to include default preferences for each application module.
