Downloading the deployment manager and container images
Download the deployment manager and the token to access container images from the BMC Electronic Product Distribution (EPD) site. You can access the container images in the BMC public cloud by using the token.
To download the deployment manager and token
- Log in to by using your Support user ID and password. You might also be prompted to complete the Export Compliance Form. If you are accessing this site for the first time, create a new EPD profile to specify the languages and platforms that you want to download. For assistance with EPD, see .
Download the deployment manager helix-on-prem-deployment-manager-<release_version>.sh to a temporary directory.
- Download the container-token.bmc file containing the Docker token.

BMC Software recommends that you install the products or components from a local copy of the installation image and not from a network drive. Installing from a network drive can cause delays in completing the installation.

Download the token again even if you have downloaded it for an earlier release.
BMC containers images are distributed from containers.bmc.com. You can access the containers for the licensed products by using you registered support account and a new password. This password is held in a file which is downloaded with this PDF file. The password is shared between all the containerized BMC software that you have access to.
Check your downloads directory for the container-token.bmc file that contains your generated password.
To synchronize the container images, perform the following steps:
- Log in to the system where you downloaded and extracted the deployment manager helix-on-prem-deployment-manager-<release_version>.sh from EPD.
- Download the all_images.txt file.
