Performing configured actions by using action label

BMC Helix Innovation Studio includes an Action Label component, which is available in the Common Components section of the View designer. The Action Label component is visible only if you deploy the Common Components bundle. 

Use this component to perform configured actions such as navigate to a console, open a consoles, launch process, set property, and open a view.


To add the Action Label component to a view definition

  1. Log in to BMC Helix Innovation Studio and navigate to the Workspace tab.
  2. Select the application for which you want to add an Action Label component.
  3. On the Views tab, click the name of the view definition to which you want to add an Action Label component.
  4. From Palette, drag the Action Label component.
  5. In the Properties pane, click Settings , and then specify the properties as indicated in the following table:

    Enter Action Label alias. 

    The Action Label alias helps identify different components when you have multiple action labels.

    Title

    Enter title for Action Label. For the primary or secondary button type, the title is displayed as the clickable link or button text.

    LabelEnter a name that you want to display for the Action Label at runtime.
    CCS classesDefine a CSS class at runtime.
    Hidden

    Use this toggle button to hide the Action Label at runtime. 

    Type

    Define the Action Label type from the following options:

    • Primary
    • Secondary
    • Tertiary





    SizeDefine the size of the Action Label.
    WidthDefine the width of the Action Label. Provide width in pixel or character length.
    Icon nameEnter a name for the Action Label icon.
    Icon alignmentDefine icon alignment.
    ActionDefine an action that you want to associate with an Action Label.


  6. Click Save.



Result

The result displays an Action Label Console that opens a new console.
