Associating a record editor field to a named list by using the Dynamic Named List component

The Dynamic Named List component is available in the Shared Components section of the View designer and is visible only if the following bundles are deployed:

  • Shared Components
  • ITSM Application

As a developer or an application business analyst, you can use the Dynamic Named List component in BMC Helix Innovation Studio to associate any record editor field with a named list. By using this component, you can add more flexibility to your view definitions and enable users to quickly select relevant values.

Application business analysts can customize the objects that are developed in their own applications and marked customizable by the administrator. However, they cannot customize the objects developed in com.bmc.arsys in the Best Practice Customization mode. For more information, see Customization layer.
