Viewing and generating application reports in BMC Helix Dashboards

You can create interactive reports for BMC Helix Innovation Studio applications by leveraging the capabilities of BMC Helix Dashboards, a subscription-based service. BMC Helix Dashboards offers a unified reporting to give you a consolidated view of data for all your applications. You can easily create, export, and share interactive dashboards with users within or outside your environment. 

The reports and charts in BMC Helix Dashboards show data from the time the feature is made available or the application is deployed. You can filter the report data on the application name, location, or time range such as hour, previous week, or previous month.

Before you begin

  • Make sure you have assigned Fixed, Floating, or Bundled license to the user.
  • Make sure you have configured the Helix-Portal-URL setting. For more information, see  Configuration settings E-M Open link  .
  • To access and view the reports in BMC Helix Dashboards, make sure that you have permissions defined in BMC Helix Dashboards.

To access and generate reports in BMC Helix Dashboards

  1. Log in to BMC Helix Innovation Studio.
  2. Click  from the Workspace tab or from your application, and select BMC Helix Dashboards.


    Make sure you have Fixed, Floating, or Bundled license to view the BMC Helix Dashboards option.

  3. In BMC Helix Dashboards, create and set up a dashboard.

  4. Use the BMC Helix Dashboards capabilities to create reports and charts.
