Mapping an alias to connector configuration

An alias is a placeholder for your tenant-specific configuration. If you have multiple applications, every application will have a unique alias associated with a connector action. By using aliases, as an administrator, you can export the applications from one environment to the other.

The aliases created for different connector actions are stored in the tenant database.

You can create connector configurations and map the alias with the connector configuration.

In the development environment, an alias gets generated when an application bundle gets imported or while saving a process in the Process or Rule designer. In the production environment, an alias is created when you export or deploy the application to the production environment.

To map connector action and connector configuration by using an alias

  1. Log in to BMC Helix Innovation Studio and navigate to the Administration tab.
  2. Select Integrations > Connectors > Connector mapping.

  3. From the Application list, select the application from which you want to connect to the connector configuration.

A list of connector aliases that you configured for the selected application are displayed as Connection target
    Example: JIRA

    Important

If you have not created the connector alias in any application, the list is blank.

  4. In Connection configuration, select the appropriate configuration for the connector.
For more information about connector configurations, see Adding Connector Configurations.
  5. Click Save.
