Adding a Microsoft Azure connector configuration

As an administrator, you can add a Microsoft Azure connector configuration so that a connection between BMC Helix Innovation Studio and Microsoft Azure is enabled. After you add the configuration, you can map the configuration to the Azure elements in the Process designer.

Before you begin

Make sure that you perform the following actions:

  1. Review that you have downloaded and deployed the latest Cloud actions bundle from EPD. To download the package, visit EPD Direct Download.
  2. Register an account in Microsoft Azure.
    To register an account, see Create Microsoft 365 account Open link .
  3. In the Microsoft Azure portal, create and configure an Active Directory application by performing the following steps:
    • Configure Azure Active Directory permissions Open link
    • Create an Azure Active Directory application Open link  
    • Assign application to a role Open link

To configure a Microsoft Azure connector

  1. Log in to BMC Helix Innovation Studio.
  2. Navigate to the Administration tab.
  3. Select Connectors > Azure, and click Add new setting.
  4. Enter the values for the following fields:

    Connection IdConnection ID for the connection.7f46afa3-7feb-43f8-8c67-9662c42eb8b8
    NameName for the connection.Azure connection
    Subscription IdID obtained during creation of the Azure account.


    Tenant Id

    Value of the Directory ID corresponding to Active Directory in Azure.

    Client Id

    Value of the Application ID obtained after creating an application in Azure Active Directory.

    Client KeyPassword that you specified during creation of the Active Directory account.Hq8Fn1w7gtju+hzzw7flzpimpogdrgTZ5nGNq0ULsyk=

    Region from the available Microsoft Azure regions Open link .

  5. Click Save.
