Adding a Jenkins connector configuration

As an administrator, you can add a Jenkins connector configuration so that a connection between BMC Helix Innovation Studio and Jenkins is enabled. After you add the configuration, you can map the configuration to the Jenkins elements in the Process designer.

Before you begin

Make sure that you perform the following actions:

  1. Review that you have downloaded and deployed the latest Cloud actions bundle from EPD. To download the package, visit EPD Direct Download Open link .
  2. Review that you have the Jenkins server installed and available in your network. To install Jenkins, see Installing Jenkins Open link .

To configure a Jenkins connector

  1. Log in to BMC Helix Innovation Studio.
  2. Navigate to the Administration tab.
  3. Select Connectors > Jenkins, and click Add new setting.
  4. Enter the values for the following fields:

    FieldDescription
    Connection IdID for the connection.
    You can specify an alphanumeric ID such as 0c7c0e30-1593-4f80-a905-0000573e1511.
    URLURL of the Jenkins server.
    UserUser name to log in to the Jenkins server.
    Important: The user must have permissions to run the Jenkins jobs.
    PasswordPassword to log in to the Jenkins server.
    Alternatively, you can use the API token in your Jenkins user profile configuration as the password.
    Trust All CertificatesIf you want to trust your certificates, specify the value as True, else do not specify any value.
    NameName for the connection.
  5. Click Save.
