Setting permissions


A connector includes one or more connector actions and triggers. As a tenant administrator, you can enable connector actions and triggers by providing the corresponding permissions. For example, the JIRA connector includes an action called Create a new issue. When you provide the usage permissions to this action, the action becomes available to end users in Flow Designer, and they can design flows that result in creating new issues in their JIRA application.

You can enable or disable permissions for all connector actions and triggers.

To enable a connector action

  1. In BMC Helix Integration Studio, navigate to Catalog > Connectors.
  2. Select the connector for which you want to enable actions, and then expand the connector pane. 
  3. Navigate to Permissions > Actions.
  4. Under Enable Usage, select the check boxes next to the actions that you want to enable, as shown in the following example:

To enable a connector trigger

  1. In BMC Helix Integration Studio, navigate to Catalog > Connectors.
  2. Select the connector for which you want to enable actions, and then expand the connector pane.
  3. Navigate to Permissions > Triggers.
  4. Under Enable Usage, select the check boxes next to the triggers that you want to enable.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
