Storing the application event details to generate usage report

After you define event definitions and event statistics , you can configure the Publish Event element. This configuration ensures that BMC Helix Innovation Studiostores the event data required to derive statistics and reports for that event. For more information, see Defining event definitions and Defining event statistics.

For example, if you want to review statistics for the number of successful automatic approvals in a given month, you must configure the Publish Event element in the business process in which you have defined the automatic approval flow.

Before you begin

If you want to store data of events other than the out-of-the-box events, you must create the event and event statistics definition. For more information, see Tracking application usage and generating reports for BMC Helix Innovation Suite applications.
