Exporting the source data
You can create .arx, .xml, and .csv files with the artext utility, which is designed primarily for localization. For information about artext, see Localizing-message-components-of-a-form-view.
To use ASCII data obtained from a source outside of AR System
- Save the data with a unique separator string of up to 32 characters in length.
- Use \t for tab, \b for backspace, and two backslashes for carriage returns are treated as the end of the record.
When attachments are exported in AR Export format from a browser, a .zip file is created that includes the .arx file and the attachments.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
