BMC Remedy AR System Server information

Important

You can use BMC Remedy AR System Struct Admin credentials for installation. Struct Admin user does not have access to your organization sensitive and secure data after installation.

BMC Remedy AR System Server input

Description

Administrator Name

BMC Remedy AR System Server Administrator name, or Struct Admin name

Administrator Password

AR System Server Administrator password, or Struct Admin name password

TCP Port

The default port number is 0 (zero).

Type a port number assigned by your BMC Remedy AR System Server Administrator.

Server Name Alias

Enter the name of the BMC Remedy AR System Server on which you want to install the HR Case application. Enter the name of the server as it appears in the Mid Tier Configuration Tool.

Destination Directory

Accept the default, or type the full directory path.

Case Master information

The Case Master name must be unique. When the BMC HR Case Management installation is successfully completed, a user with this name is created on your BMC Remedy AR System Server.

Company Name

Register your company by entering the name of the company in HR Case Management.

First Name

 

Last Name

Username

This user becomes the Case Master. For information about Case Master user, see Roles and permissions.

Important:

Verify that the user name that you enter for the Case Master user does not already exist on the BMC Remedy AR System Server.

Password

Enter a password for the Case Master user.

Installation parameter

Integrate with a remote server

Select the check box to integrate BMC HR Case Management with BMC Remedy IT Service Management installed on a remote BMC Remedy Action Request System Server. 

Leave the check box empty if you do not want to integrate with a BMC Remedy IT Service Management installed on a remote server.

Note: If you are installing BMC HR Case Management on the server where BMC Remedy Action Request System and BMC Remedy ITSM are installed, the system installs integration by default.

Remote AR System Server Administrator NameThe Administrator name of the BMC Remedy AR System Server where BMC Remedy ITSM is installed.
Remote AR System Server TCP PortThe port number of the BMC Remedy AR System Server where BMC Remedy ITSM is installed.
Remote AR System Server Name AliasEnter the name of the BMC Remedy AR System Server where BMC Remedy ITSM is installed.
