Deprecated features and components

Deprecated features are still available in the product or service. However, they are no longer under active development and might be discontinued from the product in the future. We encourage you to plan and implement the recommended change.

Microsoft Teams integration with BMC Helix Virtual Agent by using Microsoft Teams App Studio.

Microsoft has deprecated the Microsoft Teams App Studio from January 1, 2022, and moved its functionality to a new Developer Portal. 

BMC is validating the steps to integrate BMC Helix Virtual Agent with MS Teams by using the new Developer Portal.

IBM Watson Tone Analyzer integration with BMC Helix Virtual Agent

IBM will be retiring its IBM Watson Tone Analyzer service, a user sentiment detection within BMC Helix Innovation Suite applications by February 2023. BMC will no longer activate new BMC Helix Virtual Agent customers with IBM Watson Tone Analyzer service effective April 13, 2022.

Existing customers can use the service till February 24, 2023, after which IBM Watson Tone Analyzer will no longer be available.

BMC is reviewing options with IBM for potential replacement capabilities for its intelligent user sentiment detection.
