Enabling access to Remedy Smart Reporting

Administrators can enable other users to access the application usage reports in Remedy Smart Reporting that help understand whether end users are using an application to its full potential.

If you have purchased the Remedy Smart Reporting SKU, you can assign Smart Reporting User functional role to the any user who should have access to Remedy Smart Reporting and generate reports.

You can assign the functional role when creating the user data or updating data of existing users. To ensure that you can enable users to access Remedy Smart Reporting, do not exceed the purchased license limit.

To assign the Smart Reporting User functional role

You can assign the functional role to existing users or by creating new users. 

1. Log in to BMC Helix Innovation Studio and navigate to the Administration tab. 
2. Select Foundation Data > Manage People. 
3. Select the user to whom you want to provide access to the reports. 
4. On the Edit Person page, click Access Details. 
5. From the Functional Roles list, select Smart Reporting User.

6. Click Save. 

The data between Remedy Smart Reporting and BMC Helix Platform is synchronized every 12 hours. Users can access Remedy Smart Reporting after this synchronization is complete.
