Configuring a webhook callback for Automation Anywhere connector
BMC Helix Platform supports webhook callbacks from an external application, so that the platform receives notifications whenever an event takes place in the external application. These notifications can then be used to trigger specific rules or processes.
Before you begin
Purchase the Automation Anywhere RPA license. For more information, see Automation Anywhere products.
Install the Automation Anywhere Enterprise Control and Automation Anywhere Enterprise client on a Windows environment. For more information, see Automation Anywhere installation.
To configure the webhook callback
- Log in to BMC Helix Innovation Studio and navigate to the Administration tab.
- Select Webhook Connection > Callback Configuration.
- On the Webhook Callback Configuration page, click New Configuration.
On the Create New Callback Configuration page, enter the following details:

Configuration Name
Enter a meaningful name for this configuration.
Bundle Name
Select the name of the application for which you want to use the Automation Anywhere webhook callback.
Processor
Select Automation Anywhere RPA.
X-AA-RPA-CLIENT-ID
Enter a GUID or string for authorization.
Callback URL
The URL is populated automatically.
- Click Save.
