Adding the Automation Anywhere connector configuration
As an administrator, you must configure the Automation Anywhere connector in BMC Helix Integration Service to enable the connector to communicate with the third-party systems.
The connector configuration contains information about the third-party systems and settings that enable the use of the connector.
Before you begin
Before you use Robotic Process Automation (RPA) in your application, ensure that you have connected to BMC Helix Integration Service by providing the BMC Helix Integration Service URL, User Name, and Password in Administration > Configure My Server > Integration Service > Authentication.
To configure the Automation Anywhere connector in BMC Helix Integration Service
- Log in to BMC Helix Integration Studio and navigate to the Catalog tab.
The catalog has a list of all the connectors that are present in BMC Helix Integration Service. - From the list of connectors, select the Automation Anywhere connector.
- Click the connector pane at the bottom of the page to expand it.
Select Configurations > Add Connection Configuration, and enter the following details:
Field Description Name Enter a unique configuration name. Description Enter a description of the configuration. Site Select the site to be connected to the connector. The site specifies where the service is hosted and includes information that the connector requires to operate.
Number of instances Enter the number of connector instances that you want to run at the selected site. By using the same configuration, you can scale up when many flows are running.
Selected by default Select this field to make the connector configuration the default configuration, especially if you have multiple connector configurations. Enable usage Select this check box to enable the connector. Automation Anywhere URL Enter the Automation Anywhere Control Room URL that you use for client login. CallBack URL Enter the webhook callback URL so that the platform receives real-time notifications whenever an event takes place in the external application. The URL is populated automatically, when you configure the webhook callback. For more information, see Configuring a webhook callback for external applications. Authorization Key or Username Enter the GUID or the string you added while configuring the webhook callback URL for Automation Anywhere connector. Password Enter the password for the account you are using. Click Save Configuration.

To create a connector account
Before you create a connector account, ensure that you have created the connector configuration.
- Log in to BMC Helix Integration Studio and navigate to Catalog.
- From the list of connectors, select Automation Anywhere connector.
- Click the connector pane at the bottom of the page to expand it.
Select Accounts > Add Account, and enter the User Name and Password for Automation Anywhere.
Note
Ensure that you use these credentials to make REST calls to the Automation Anywhere Controller.
Click Login.
