Viewing automation requests

Requests for creating automation policies for events appear on the Automation Requests page.

When an event appears in BMC Helix AIOps, operators can request to create an automation policy to remediate the event by performing automated actions instead of resolving it manually. An automation engineer creates a policy for the requested event and after it is published, it appears in the Available Automations column in the BMC Helix AIOps console.

To view automation requests

  1. In the BMC Helix Intelligent Automation console, click Requests and view the following details:
    • Request
    • Request Timeline
    • Type
    • Requested By
    • Request Date/Time
    • Status
  2. Click the request to view additional details about the request.
  3. To update the request status, from the Status list select the appropriate option.
  4. Click Create Automation Policy to create an automation policy for the selected request.
Policy name, event type, and trigger conditions are generated from the event details. You can update the policy information, trigger conditions, and add actions to remediate the event.
