Selecting a theme for FootPrints version 12.0

This troubleshooting topic is about selecting a theme after migrating from FootPrints version 11 to FootPrints version 12.0.

Description

The following table describes theme in FootPrints version 11.0 and FootPrints version 12.0:

FootPrints version 11.0FootPrints version 12.0

Colors

You can customize colors for each workspace. The system-wide color settings are applied to the newly created workspaces that do not have custom colors.

Themes

  • Each system-level role is assigned a portal that defines what the user sees and accesses after logging on to FootPrints version 12.0. The look and feel of the portal, colors, is determined by the theme selected for the default portal.
  • During the migration process, all roles are configured to use a default portal that has a default theme which determines the colors.

Resolution

If required, use the following steps to select a theme for the default portal in FootPrints version 12.0. Unless you have already made other post-migration changes to your configuration, all roles use the same default portal.

  1. Navigate to Administration > Portal Management > Portals and select the Default System Portal.
  2. To modify the default portal settings, create a copy of the Default System Portal.
The Default System Portal cannot be modified or deleted. It can be copied to a new portal and the new portal can be modified and set as the default portal.
  3. Select a choice in the Theme menu and select the Default Portal checkbox.
  4. Modify the Name and save the new portal.
  5. Refresh the page.

If the system role assigned to your user account uses the default portal, you can now see the new theme. To know more about configuring customized portals after migration, see Configuring portals to customize FootPrints general user environment.
